The St. Kate's soccer team suffered their first defeat of the season, losing 1-0 to Simpson College in Iowa.

The Wildcats feel behind early to Simpson, when the Storm scored off of a corner kick at the 19:43 mark of the first half. That goal proved to be all that was needed as the Wildcats were unable to score.

Coach Bellis was pleased with the teams effort, especially their strong second half. Unfortunately, despite several good scoring chances in the second half they did not notch that game tying goal.

The Wildcats return to action on September 12, at 2pm when they host Buena Vista in their first home game of the season.
